BUSINESS MINDSET: Arsenal star Declan Rice and Luke Shaw show off Bukayo Saka’s Nando’s sauce while they eat away with England

Declan Rice was fired up to test out some of Bukayo Saka’s Nando’s sauce while the pair were eating together on international duty.

The popular chicken restaurant released a limited edition hot sauce called ‘Peri Peri Saka’ in honour of the Arsenal ace this week. And Rice didn’t waste any time tucking into some in England’s canteen.

In a clip uploaded to his Instagram story, Rice filmed his team-mate with the sauce on the table and asked him: “Is it nice, Saka?” to which the forward replied: “It’s unbelievable. Man’s been cooking!”

Peri-Peri Saka sauce is described as “mixing sweet, spiciness and smokiness”. Speaking about it after its launch, Saka, who is a Nando’s regular, said: “I love it and can’t wait for everyone to try it. I’ve been going to Nando’s since I was little so to have my own sauce is quite mad.

“My family’s really important to me so I wanted to make sure they liked it, too. As soon as my Dad said he was a fan, I knew it was the one.”

Promoting the sauce, Saka appears in a Nando’s advert as a chef concocting the new creation while dishing out orders to staff. At one point he demands: “More garlic, more tomato, more lemon”. After trying and deciding it needs more of a “kick”, the advert concludes with the 22-year-old adding a chilli to the pot.

Rice and Saka are expected to feature heavily in England’s upcoming friendlies against Brazil and Belgium over the coming days as they prep for Euro 2024. The pair have been in top form for Arsenal this season and stand a decent chance of ending the season with some silverware.

The Gunners are top of the Premier League, albeit on goal difference, and are into the quarter-finals of the Champions League after seeing off Porto in a nervy penalty shootout. Up next is Bayern Munich, and the winner will face either Manchester City or Real Madrid in the semi-finals.
