Jordan Henderson, who is expected to be England’s hope for the next generation, has been hailed as a role model by Jude Bellingham. 

The 20-year-old Real Madrid star is now the shining core of England’s hopes after winning the Kopa Trophy as the finest young player in the globe the previous season. 

He has disclosed how he is picking up lessons from the heartache that squad members experience after recent near-misses in competitions. 

When asked if he had taken any lessons from England’s defeats before to his arrival, he said to Sky Sports, “Definitely.” I believe that certain guys who are currently with the team have had to go through that kind of experience.

He has scored three goals in his 29 caps for his nation thus far. He made his debut in 2020 at the age of 17, and he was a mainstay in the Qatar World Cup squad for 2022. 

He has firsthand knowledge with the agony of losing on the international arena, having started in the 2-1 quarterfinal loss to France and sitting on the bench in the Euro 2020 final against Italy.

He can undoubtedly still learn a lot from his seniors, though. 

He has been playing for Real Madrid since the beginning of the season, and he has already amassed an incredible 20 goals and nine assists. With 14 goals in his first 15 appearances, he surpassed even Cristiano Ronaldo to set a club record. 

‘It’s been incredibly demanding but really wonderful,’ he continued, describing the adjustment to Spanish life and the increased responsibilities he now has with the Madrid and national teams. 

I think I’m attempting to take everything in, relish the moment, and perhaps grow and prosper as a result. 

“When I wake up, I have to pinch myself because I’m either playing for Real Madrid at the Bernabeu or for England at Wembley.”
