According to sources, Neymar, who won the UEFA Champions League with Barcelona before joining Paris Saint-Germain, plans to make an unexpected comeback.
The Brazilian forward, who plays for Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia, is now recovering from a long-term injury.
There have always been rumors connecting Neymar to Barcelona. Nearly every year after he joined PSG, there were whispers that the Brazilian wanted to return and regretted leaving. Prior to his decision to join the Saudi League, there were rumors that he intended to visit last year. However, the prodigal return was never realized.
According to a radio source, Ney plans to come back in 2025 when his contract expires. By then, he will be 34 years old.
Neymar won’t be leaving Al Hilal this summer, according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, however he did not elaborate on what would happen when the Brazilian’s contract expires in 2019.
Romano remained resolute, saying, “Despite the usual rumors, Neymar is not discussing a comeback with Barcelona at this stage.”
