Away from their rivalry, footballers from both sides of the north London Premier League attended one of London Fashion Week’s most prominent exhibitions.
The Burberry Autumn/Winter 2024 event took place outside Victoria Park, London, behind a large marquee. Players from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur were photographed mixing convivially, putting aside their club allegiances for the evening.
Attending were Arsenal players Bukayo Saka and Martin Ødegaard, the former wearing a large sheepskin coat to ward off the chill after scoring in Saturday’s 5-0 thrashing of struggling Burnley.
Ødegaard opted for a somber outfit that included a black Harrington jacket and a practical knitted zippered jumper underneath.
Saka was spotted on the green carpet posing for pictures with rapper Central CEE and actor Barry Keoghan, who is becoming more well-known for his roles in “The Banshees of Inisherin” and “Saltburn,” while she waited for the show to start.
Spurs players from both the past and present lined up for the match, with club captain Son Heung-Min leading the way and looking every bit the runway star in his smart raincoat and tousled hair.
Son and Saka are both Burberry brand ambassadors; in fact, last year, the duo fronted the company’s spring/summer campaign. Gareth Bale and Dele Alli, two former Spurs players who were present with their partners, provided excellent support for the South Korean star.
Bale, his wife Emma Rhys-Jones, and Chelsea defender Ben Chilwell—who was sporting his club colors in a very stylish sleeveless vest—were spotted in the first row one year after Bale announced his retirement.
Retired Tottenham and England midfielder Alli, who is currently at Everton, was also seen conversing with Chilwell. Alli had bleached his hair and dressed in his best fatigues for the event.
The group of football players went on to mingle with several well-known people, including supermodels Cara Delevingne and Naomi Campbell, actors Olivia Colman and Joanna Lumley, and even prominent figures in the British rap scene, Dizzee Rascal, Kano, and Skepta.
