Young Man United player Kobbie Mainoo said to the Telegraph that one of his idols is Wayne Rooney.
Mainoo’s development has been steady throughout Man United’s roller coaster of a season. The English international is the cornerstone of the Old Trafford team’s midfield both now and in the future, supported by Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes.
When asked who his idols were, Mainoo replied, “Wayne Rooney. Paul Scholes as well. And Eric the King. Even if they existed before my time, I still value them. I’ve watched snippets of them.”
