The Gunners were eliminated from the Champions League on Wednesday night after Joshua Kimmich’s header gave the German team a 3-2 overall lead.

Even though Mikel Arteta’s team pushed hard for a goal in the second half, they were unable to make a breakthrough that night.

Odegaard thought they should have been given a late corner, which would have given them a chance to tie the game.

Officials slammed after incident in Bayern Munich v Arsenal, it left Odegaard incensed

The captain of Arsenal ran deep into the Bayern box and fired a shot at goal, but it seemed to hit both Eric Dier and Manuel Neuer and miss the target.

But neither the judge nor the linesman saw the deflections, and to the Norwegian player’s surprise, a goal kick was given.

Odegaard let the linesman know right away how he felt by yelling at him and holding up the number two with his fingers to show the deflections.

The referees stuck to their decision, even though he argued, and a goal kick was given. Bayern took it and held on for the important win against Arsenal.

Arsenal had chances, with Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus, and Martin Odegaard all having good ones, but they didn’t have the edge they needed, and in Munich, their dream of going to Europe came to an end.

In the second half, Germany came out firing and hit the post twice in a row, first through Leon Goretzka and then through Raphael Guerrero. Kimmich then finished the deal.

The last time Arsenal played Bayern, they lost, so they won’t be able to make it to the Champions League semi-finals for the first time since 2009.

There would have been extra happiness for Harry Kane, who used to be captain of Spurs and moved to Bayern for £100 million last summer.

After the game, Kane told TNT, “It’s been a tough season for us.” He scored a penalty in the first leg. There have been times when we had to fight and really grind, and today was one of those days.

“We knew it would be tough, but we also knew that our fans could make the difference.” Making it to the semi-finals is a big deal for us, so we can enjoy this one.
