Declan Rice was one of four English players who competed in a special of The Great British Bake Off. It was a terrible experience for him. Rice plays in the middle for Arsenal.
Along with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jordan Henderson, and Kieran Trippier, the 24-year-old had a hard time in the tent.
In the tent, Rice and his cookie broke apart.
For a video that would be put on Channel 4 Sport’s YouTube channel, Paul Hollywood from Bake Off told each player to make a gingerbread figure of their favorite football player.
Trippier picked Wayne Rooney, Henderson beat Paul Gascoigne, and Rice picked John Terry. Steven Gerrard was picked by Alexander-Arnold.
Some famous people had a lot easier time baking than others, but Rice had a hard time right away.
Put the cardboard shape on top of the cookie dough and carefully cut out the soccer shape,” he said.
“This is what I’m cutting with. To be honest, I have no idea how to use it!
There’s nothing I know about my plans or where I’m going.
The summer signing for Arsenal just couldn’t get it, and his end product made the rest of his team laugh out loud.
Hollywood picked up Rice’s cookie off the table while going over each gingerbread, but Terry’s head fell off and into his hand!
The head of Rice’s John Terry was cut off.
And it made his England friends laugh out loud.
The England players fell on top of each other and laughed at their teammate’s mistake, which put him in last place out of four.
Henderson and Alexander-Arnold, who used to play with Trippier at Liverpool, had to wait to see who won until they found out.
When Trent was named the winner, Hollywood greeted him with the famous “Hollywood Handshake.”
“I’m over the moon, I’ll be honest,” the Reds back said after the win.
“I told myself that I would try to win from the beginning.” I believe I’m naturally good at it!”
Trippier then said, “At least my head didn’t fall off like Dec’s!” after coming in third place.
Everybody worked hard behind their desks.
The winner was Trent, who got a kiss from Hollywood.
