Tottenham fans are saying the same thing about what they think is Arsenal’s home kit for next season: the red body is shaped like a bottle.
An account called Football Headlines on X (formerly Twitter) has posted pictures of what looks like the new Arsenal home shirt for the 2024–25 season. It has blue side marks along with the red body and white sides.
But it wasn’t long before fans of other teams, and even some Gooners, noticed that the main red part of the shirt looked like it was made of something else.
One person wrote, “The red part looks like a bottle,” along with laughing faces.
Another Spurs fan wrote, “Love the bottle design in the middle…” next to a picture of a red drink bottle. ‘#AdidasKnows #Bottlers’ with three laughing and crying emojis.
It was also made fun of that the shirt was put in front of bricks in one of the shots.
“Can on the wall?” “Amazing haha,” wrote another Tottenham fan.
“Adidas made a bottle for Arsenal to carry on the tradition,” wrote another sly fan.
Someone from Everton also saw the design similarities and wrote, “Even Adidas is making fun of us “bottling”.”
The “bottlers” label has been put on Arsenal because they can’t carry over a good season into the finals.
Even though they were in first place in the Premier League for a long time last season, their flaws were widely publicized. This season, they lost to Aston Villa to lose first place and were eliminated from the Champions League by Bayern Munich.
Arteta said this week “wasn’t the best experience,” but he also said Arsenal was focused on the title race and would start by going to Gary O’Neil’s Wolves on Saturday.
