Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber is currently on a visit to Rwanda, describing the experience as amazing and exciting

The Dutch football player arrived in the country on Thursday, December 14, and will stay for three days.

“I love being in Rwanda. I’m having a great time here. There is love among the people, and everyone is smiling. “I’ve heard a lot of good things about Rwanda, and so far my experience has lived up to those hopes,” Timber said as he watched young football players on a playground near Kigali Pele Stadium.

Timber paid his respects to the victims of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi at the Genocide Memorial Center on his first day in Rwanda.

It is important to know about Rwanda’s past and what took place here. “I’m glad that the country is at peace right now,” he said.

The 22-year-old talked to some young football players and told them some of his story.

“My mom is my biggest source of inspiration.” She’s very important to me. We didn’t have much when I was young, but she helped me, and I’m here now because of her, he said.

The former Ajax player talked about his career and said that his best game was the Community Shield against Manchester City, even though he got hurt during it.

He also said that Erling Haaland of Manchester City is the toughest scorer he has ever played against.

“Even though I got hurt, my best game was when Arsenal played Manchester City in the Community Shield.” Mr. Haaland is the toughest player he has ever played against, he said.

Timber praised the “Visit Rwanda” project and said he appreciated how much the people of Rwanda support Arsenal.

“I’ve noticed many Arsenal shirts on the streets; people really support Arsenal here,” he noted.
