‘The machine’: Odegaard impressed with the Arsenal star, who won 100% of his duels with Spurs

Gabriel Magalhaes, a defender for Arsenal, was named the man of the match in yesterday’s 3-2 Premier League win over Tottenham Hotspur. Martin Odegaard, the captain of Arsenal, was quick to praise Magalhaes.

After a great game against Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Gunners won their third straight Premier League game. They got off to a great start and led 3-0 at halftime. It looked like they were going to win easily.

But in the 64th minute, David Raya made a mistake that let Cristian Romero score. Declan Rice fouled Ben Davies in the box just minutes before extra time, which led to a penalty that Son Heung-min converted to make it 3-2.

For the rest of the match, Arsenal was able to hold on to their slim lead. Magalhaes was very important in central defense, so it wasn’t a surprise that he was named man of the match after the hard-fought win.

Magalhaes wrote on Instagram after the game that “North London is red.” He was praised by many Arsenal players, including captain Odegaard, who called him a “Machine” for really great defense.

Because both goals were scored by mistakes in the second half, Gabriel didn’t have to do much. However, he did a great job of stopping Richarlison, who came off the bench to lead Tottenham’s attack.

Arsenal is currently behind in the race for the title. Manchester City is in second place, one point behind Arsenal, but they have a game in hand. The team led by Pep Guardiola is likely to win the league for a fourth straight year.

To have a chance of winning the league, the Gunners will need City to lose one of their last four games. In the same way, Arsenal needs to focus on winning their last three Premier League games.
