The Gunners beat the Cherries on Saturday to keep their winning run going. Even though they weren’t very good at scoring goals, they still won by a large margin.
Declan Rice was named the game’s best player after scoring a goal and setting up another in the second half. However, Havertz also had a great game and was a big part of the 3-0 win.
For most of the first half, Arsenal had trouble scoring. But in the 45th minute, after the German won a penalty, Arsenal broke the tie.
Bukayo Saka scored his 20th goal of the season from the penalty spot.
Not long after halftime, Havertz put the ball on the plate for Saka to double the lead, but the Gunners graduate rushed his shot and missed the target.
Aside from the penalty, Havertz won 12 ground and air duels and four tackles, which is a lot. He made three important plays that led to two big chances for his teammates.
Manager Mikel Arteta said that Havertz’s play was “unbelievable” and that he was “intelligent” with how he moved in and around the box after the game.
Havertz’s first season at Arsenal got off to a slow start, but he has been in great shape since the beginning of the year. In 49 games, he has scored 13 goals and set up six others.
The former Chelsea player has been great for Arsenal since he became a regular striker. The club might have to rethink their need for a star center forward if he signs him.
Even though they won, Arsenal is still behind Manchester City in the race for the title. Arsenal is only one point ahead of City, and City has a game in hand over Tottenham Hotspur.
His team can only do their job in the last two games and hope that the winners make a mistake.
