Man United boss Sir Jim Ratcliffe sets sights on Real Madrid star Andriy Lunin for upcoming season for £84 million

Andriy Lunin of Real Madrid is allegedly on Manchester United’s summer transfer wish list after the team made him a “priority target.”

That’s according to Spanish newspaper Nacional (via Football365), which asserts that United is the favorite to win the international player from Ukraine. They also say that Real Madrid’s attempts to get him to sign a new deal have failed.

But in light of this, the Spanish powerhouses could have to make a move to get rid of him before the end of the following campaign. According to reports, Sir Jim Ratcliffe wants to make more changes before the new season begins, and United wants to install him as the new number one at Old Trafford.

In other news, Adrien Rabiot acknowledges that he hasn’t decided on his future yet despite interest from other European teams. After his attempted deal to Old Trafford fell through last summer, the Frenchman decided to sign a one-year contract extension with Juventus.

He is nearing the conclusion of his contract, and United is reportedly making a serious effort to sign him after rekindling their interest. Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and former team Paris Saint-Germain are rivals to them nevertheless, as TEAMtalk reports that they have ‘continuous contact’ with Rabiot’s mother, his agent.

A return to Parc des Princes is reportedly not out of the question given the large salary budget the team has available. Rabiot gave an update on his future in March, stating, “I haven’t made any decisions about it yet.

It is accurate to say that I stayed at Juventus for the previous season despite being fully aware that we would not be competing in Europe. I made that decision.

“We’re expected to compete in both the Club World Cup and the Champions League the following season. These are the things that are on my mind, although I haven’t decided anything yet. I’ll wait until the conclusion of the season before we talk about it with the club, and then I’ll make my decision.”

But it’s unlikely that a decision regarding his future will be made before Euro 2024. His participation in the competition may maximize his opportunities.
