Arsenal’s club staff was seen practicing how to give the Premier League trophy if the north London team wins their first league title since 2004 on Sunday afternoon.
Second place in the table is held by Arsenal, two points behind Manchester City. They play Everton tomorrow afternoon at the Emirates Stadium.
Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola’s team is almost certain to win their fourth straight league title. If they beat West Ham tomorrow, they will be crowned winners.
City would win their first Premier League title since 2004 if they lost tomorrow at the Etihad Stadium and Arsenal won. This is because Arsenal has a better goal difference than City. The Emirates seems to be ready for anything, which is good because the last day could be very exciting.
Now, a video has surfaced online that shows Arsenal’s staff practicing how to give the prize.
The club had put up banners all over the field that said “Premier League champions,” and in the middle circle, they put up a stage with the Premier League logo on it.
The Premier League trophy can also be seen on stage, sitting on a stand. If City wins the league instead, the same prize will be given out in Manchester this weekend.
There are people in the staff line up and walk on stage, just like the players would do to get their prizes.
There were handshakes between club members, and someone seemed to hand out fake medals to people who walked on stage.
At each stadium, an experienced engraver will be there to carve the prize with the name of the winning team. There will also be 40 medals ready to be given out at each stadium.
If Arsenal wins the league, there will be a tour of open-top buses through the streets of Islington on May 20.
Arteta begged David Moyes before the last day of the season to help his Arsenal team win their first league title in 20 years.
The Spanish boss of the football team played with the Scot at Everton and was hoping that West Ham could beat City on Sunday and take points away from them.
“He [Moyes] has been very important to my career,” Arteta said.
“Not only as a football player, but also as a person.” His help in making our dream come true and my own dream come true to win the Premier League would be amazing. I will always remember him.
The Gunners will feel bad about giving Aston Villa points during their 2-0 loss on April 14. This made it look like they fell behind City in the title race.
