Germany has made it to the round of 16 at Euro 2024 thanks to a great game from leader Ilkay Gundogan.

The host country won their first game very well, 5-1 against Scotland. They then beat Hungary 2-0 in Stuttgart.
With six points, Germany was sure of their spot in the next round. Their last game in Group A is on June 23 against Switzerland.
Gundogan helped Germany get their most recent win by setting up Jamal Musiala’s first goal and then scoring a second goal with ease.
During his full-time review, head coach Julian Nagelsmann was full of praise for the Barcelona star and made the right call to keep him as captain.
“He put in a lot of effort and tried to organise and manage the game.” According to Mundo Deportivo, “he’s a very smart player, and we have a lot of faith in him.”
His team won the Premier League with him as captain, and he was one of their best players. Our knowledge of him means we need to push him a little.
After playing with the same team for their first two games, Nagelsmann could make some changes for the game against Switzerland now that they are sure to qualify.
At Deutsche Bank Park, Gundogan is anticipated to start, however he might not play the entire ninety minutes.
