Bernardo Silva scored the opening goal just 21 minutes into the match by unleashing a left-footed shot from 15 yards after securing a stray ball within the penalty area.
Just before the half-hour mark, Portugal’s lead was doubled as a result of a ludicrous defensive error by Turkiye.
In the second half, Fernandes secured the Selecao’s victory by playing Cristiano Ronaldo in behind the opposition defence. Ronaldo then squared the ball to Fernandes, who had the goal at his disposal.

He had a total of three strikes to his credit. One was directly on target, while the other two were off-target and did not pose any challenge to Altay Bayindir, a United teammate who was positioned between the posts for Turkiye.
Fernandes failed to conclude the single dribble that he initiated.
The midfielder, who is 29 years old, engaged in nine ground duels and emerged victorious on six occasions. He emerged victorious in one of the two aerial duels that he participated in.
Fernandes also made three challenges and blocked one shot.
