In his debut start for Spain at EURO 2024 against Albania, Arsenal player David Raya had a great performance.

The Spanish team started the last group stage match of EURO 2024 early this morning, June 25. Albania was their opponent, a side with little prospect of making it to the round of 16. 

The Spanish squad made ten personnel changes after securing a spot in the following round. For this match, celebrities like Nico Williams, Lamine Yamal, and Unai Simon were all rested. 

David Raya, Dani Olmo, and Ferran Torres took their places as replacements. When they performed brilliantly against Albania, none of them let the coaching staff down. 

David Raya had a fantastic day at the game.

Besides the combination between Olmo and Torres that helped Spain take the lead, David Raya really left a strong impression on Spanish fans. 

The Arsenal star made four impressive saves, including a diving save from a close-range shot from Albanian striker Broja. 

Not only excellent in helping the home team avoid conceding goals, David Raya showed his excellent footwork with 5 accurate long passes. 

David Raya’s performance deserves praise. Coach Luis de la Fuente may even remove Unai Simon to use the Arsenal star in the round of 16 of EURO 2024.
