Attacker Leandro Trossard has had a very unpleasant campaign at Euro 2024, as have a number of Arsenal stars who have failed to make an impression thus far.
After putting in a subpar performance in Belgium’s opening match, a 1-0 loss to Slovakia, Trossard received harsh criticism from the Belgian media. The attacker for Arsenal was benched for their triumph over Romania.

With the group perfectly balanced, the 29-year-old made a comeback to the starting lineup for Belgium’s last group match against Ukraine. A tie was sufficient to keep his team in the game, while a loss would have meant elimination.
Belgium’s supporters vented their displeasure as they were jeered off the pitch after they performed poorly and had to settle for a draw, which eliminated Ukraine and set up a last-16 match with France.
Before being substituted in the 62nd minute, Trossard once again disappointed, and his performance levels throughout have fans worried.
The lack of offensive impact Trossard shown upset the fans, and it is surprising that he has struggled in the tournament after an excellent season finale with Arsenal.

Another person retorted, “I struggle to see why he is still starting. He wastes most opportunities presented to him with poor decision making.”
Given how miserably he has performed, some even think that Belgium should bench him once more.
Tedesco doesn’t think Trossard is a better choice than Lukebakio and Bakayoko in any way. One fan declared, “He is a legit net negative throughout 90 minutes.”
Another said, “Every time Trossard is on the pitch, Belgium looks nowhere near as good as when he’s off it.”
It’s possible that Trossard won’t start for Belgium against France in the round of 16. Johan Bakayoko, a reported target for Arsenal, is a member of the squad and poses a threat to replace him despite his performances not living up to his regular level.
The Arsenal player has started on the wings, but even with Mikel Arteta, he has turned in some of his best performances when starting in the middle position. He took an odd stance when making his attempt against Ukraine.
If Trossard can return to form with Arsenal the next season, he may continue to show why he has been one of the greatest purchases for the money, even though Arteta may be concerned about his performance with Belgium.
