‘STUPID’: Kevin De Bruyne angry after a question about his ‘GOLDEN GENERATION’ who didn’t win anything

Kevin de Bruyne became enraged as he was questioned by a journalist after Belgium’s 2024 European Championship elimination.

Belgium’s Euro 2024 campaign came to an end on Monday when they lost 1-0 to France in their round-of-16 match.

Both sides were far from their best and managed just two shots on target each, with France needing Belgian defender Jan Vertonghen to deflect a shot past his own goalkeeper with five minutes left to play.

Belgium, who lost a number of seasoned players who were many people’s dark horses in recent years, had a disappointing campaign. After their last group game, a goalless draw with Ukraine allowed Domenico Tedesco’s team to go to the knockout stages, but by full time, frustrations were evident.

Following the match, captain Kevin de Bruyne instructed his colleagues not to cheer for their supporters as they began jeering and giving the finger down.

When a journalist questioned De Bruyne about Belgium’s “golden generation” not reaching a tournament final, he became irrationally angry during the press conference following the match.

Image“Is it hard that the golden generation didn’t achieve a final?” the reporter enquired.

“What is a golden generation?” De Bruyne retorted.

“Yours!” said the journalist, to which the Belgium captain retaliated, saying, “Yours? And you claim that the Golden Generation did not include Germany, France, England, or Spain? Alright, I appreciate it.

As he stood up and made his way to the door, De Bruyne was captured on camera shaking his head and uttering the word “Stupid.”
