Monday morning was the first day of pre-season training at Carrington for Manchester United players who had been away over the summer.
Over the next few weeks, Erik ten Hag’s team will come back in waves. Players who are on international service will come back later.
The first group of players who were supposed to come back did so this morning for medical tests. In the afternoon, they had their first training exercise.
Andre Onana, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Casemiro, Mason Mount, Antony, and Marcus Rashford were among the Reds who came back on Monday.
Because of redevelopment at Carrington, the players are using different facilities this season. Work has begun to update their normal house on another part of the site.
As the project moves forward, our men’s, women’s, and Academy teams will train in different places this season. However, they will all still be able to use our high-quality buildings and pitches.
The big investment being made to bring Carrington back up to world-class levels will help all of our teams when it’s done.
The English duo Luke Shaw and Kobbie Mainoo, the Argentine duo Lisandro Martinez and Alejandro Garnacho, and the Uruguayan duo Facundo Pellistri are still playing for their countries in the big tournaments going on right now in Germany and the US.
England’s semi-final match at Euro 2024 is against the Netherlands on Wednesday. This comes after Argentina’s last-four match at the Copa America, where they will play Canada.
For United, their first pre-season game is coming up quickly. On Monday, July 15, the team will play Rosenborg in a friendly in Norway, with the game starting at 17:00 BST and being shown live on MUTV.
For practice before the new season, the match will be the first chance to play in the new adidas home kit, which came out last week.
