Despite his success with Manchester City, Rodri is still one of the most modest football players in the game.
As he maintains his status as one of the finest midfielders in the world, he could win Euros with Spain.

Ballon bore Rodri has maybe been the most significant member of City’s squad in recent years.
Given that the midfielder plays for a world-class squad, it is not unexpected that he has been tipped to win the Ballon d’Or.
Alvaro Morata, a teammate from Spain, asserts that if Rodri had been more marketable, he would have taken home the trophy after winning the Treble the previous season.Rodri, though, isn’t concerned about taking home the prize or the publicity that goes along with it.In an interview with The Guardian, he clarified, saying, “I don’t play football for that.”
“Maybe people would like me to be more marketable and he sometimes says: ‘Mate, you should…’ but I understand football differently.
“I know how it works so I don’t get frustrated if [I get overlooked for the award]. If one day someone wants to reward the work, that’s welcome, but it doesn’t bother me at all.”

The two met in university; Laura is a medical student and is presumably pursuing a career in surgery.
Rodri said she was surprised to see a professional football player studying at a university, but Laura has since grown to be his biggest fan and frequently shares videos of herself cheering on her partner’s accomplishments.
“When I get to score, I always have a video of Laura celebrating the goal at home and I always watch it in a locker room,” the four-time Premier League champion said, revealing that he frequently watches those movies back.

After joining the Etihad, Rodri’s salary has increased significantly due to his outstanding performances.
However, he has chosen a more modest lifestyle over the extravagant spending habits that many of his teammates have adopted.
After passing his driving test, Rodri chose to buy a used Opel Corsa from an elderly woman rather than a Ferrari or Lamborghini.
Valentin, his friend, stated: “One time he told me that some friends were ‘crazy’ for buying nice cars, all that mattered was that it takes you from A to B and that’s all.”
Throughout his career, Rodri has also adhered to a rigid schedule, placing a high value on his training.
His rise to untouchable status for both club and country has been aided by it; many see him as the next great Sergio Busquets of Spain.
