After losing to Spain 2-1 in the Euro 2024 final, players were earlier seen departing the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Berlin.

With a beer in one hand, Gareth Southgate waved to the fans who had gathered to cheer on the squad.

The hotel staff also praised the England players and staff as they walked out of Berlin with pride.

The boss, whose future as England’s manager is still up in the air, set the example for his players as they started their journey back to England.
