Manchester United has officially announced the signing of Leny Yoro, a Lille talent.

Yesterday, the 18-year-old center defender finished his medical examination following the teams’ £52 million agreement.

Yoro is United’s second window acquisition thus far.

Following the £36.5 million arrival of Dutch forward Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna, Yoro is United’s second acquisition under Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

After making his first team debut the previous year, he played in 32 games for Lille in the previous season.

Major European clubs are interested in the France Under-21 international.

It was thought that Real Madrid and Liverpool were both quite interested.

When former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand sent Leny Yoro a welcome message, he couldn’t help but smile.

As soon as United’s X post confirmed the signing, fans swamped the page with excitement over the news.

United ought to look into adding another center-back to their roster if they can raise the necessary funds by offloading some unproductive players.
