‘DARK FUTURE’: Mason Greenwood Man Utd career is facing SAD ENDING when deciding to join Marseille in a £52 million transfer deal and briefly announces his debut for the club

Manchester United has announced in a short 57-word statement that Mason Greenwood has been sent to Marseille.

Before United announced that they would be buying Leny Yoro from Lille for £52 million, the 22-year-old player arrived in France last night and signed a deal that will keep him there until 2029. It’s possible that the deal is worth more than £30 million.

The top teams in Ligue 1 Marseille will pay £27 million for the England forward with one cap, plus an extra £3.2 million in add-ons.

United has added a 50% sell-on option to the package deal as well.

Today, the Red Devils released a short statement on their website saying that he is officially leaving the team.

In the release, it was said, “Mason Greenwood has officially moved from Manchester United to the French club Olympique de Marseille”.

“The English forward, 22, scored 35 goals in 129 games for United since his debut in 2019. He spent the previous season on loan at Getafe in Spain.”

“We wish Mason the best in everything he does from now on.”

Greenwood started at United’s development school in Halifax, West Yorkshire, when he was six years old. Marseille said that he will wear No. 10 in his official video debut.

He worked his way up through the ranks and made his senior debut in 2019. Since then, he has been a regular part of the first team.

But in January 2022, Greenwood was kicked out of the club. Nine months later, he was charged with attempted rape, assault, and harassment and control of a woman.

It was said that he was guilty, but in the end, all charges were dropped in February 2023.

Last year, Greenwood was moved to the Spanish club Getafe, where he won the Player of the Year award for his huge skill set.

After seeing his shows, many businesses in Europe wanted to hire him.

This month, Greenwood was told by the club’s bosses that he would no longer play for Manchester United. After that, he worked out by himself during the off-season.

Marseille quickly stuck to their deal, even though a lot of fans were against it and started a movement with the hashtag #GreenwoodNotWelcome.

The mayor of Marseille, Benoit Payan, has also spoken out against the plan and said he will try to get Pablo Longoria, the head of the club, to back out of it.

But De Zerbi, who had just moved from Brighton, said he would “protect Greenwood” as soon as he got there.

De Zerbi had said before, “There isn’t much to say about Greenwood because he hasn’t been hired yet.”

“He is a champion and plays well enough to play for his country.”

“I’m not worrying about my own business; I have no idea what happened.”

“When a player joins the team, I treat him like a child.”

“I’ll stand up for him in public even if it means cutting off his ear behind his back.” They are like my kids, they are like my kids.

He won’t have to wait long to go back to England, where he was born, between now and then.

Greenwood was born in Bradford and could play for Marseille in a friendly against Sunderland on August 3 at Valley Parade, which is where League Two team Bradford City plays.
