Before the Premier League season began, Kevin De Bruyne, the captain of Manchester City, spent £130,000 on iPhones with sturdy platinum cases.
The 26-man team received the expensive phones from the midfielder before their Turf Moor matchup with Burnley.

One of the best custom mobile designers in the world, iDesign Gold, was responsible for creating the £5,000 iPhones.
He engraved the player’s name and the club’s insignia on each of the group’s iPhone 14.
The 32-year-old De Bruyne also gave one to his manager, Pep Guardiola.
According to a source, Kevin wanted to express his gratitude to the team with a little class.
The team won the FA Cup, the Premier League, and the Champions League the previous campaign.
“He wanted to give them a little boost before the Burnley match to inspire them to the same success.”
“I’ve been working with IDG for a few years, and I really admire their limited edition phones—they’re like pieces of art,” the Belgian international stated.
Lionel Messi, who gave the 35-man Argentina World Cup winning team and staff 24-carat gold iPhones worth £175,000 earlier this year, served as the inspiration for his present.
