After his trial, Benjamin Mendy has drastically reduced the asking price of his £5 million property by £750,000 in an effort to fight bankruptcy.
The 29-year-old former Manchester City player needs to sell the large Cheshire estate in order to keep his finances afloat.

In France, the former City defender currently plays for Lorient.
Mendy has since lowered his asking price to £4.25 million as he pursues up to £10 million in unpaid wages from his former team and continues to rebuild his career at French Ligue 1 club Lorient.
It happens at the same time as the football player is being sued by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) for roughly £800,000.
Estate agents characterize the house as “one of the finest contemporary homes in Cheshire.”
Situated on 1.75 acres of land, the 11,000 square foot mansion features six bedroom suites, a game room, a home theater, a swimming pool, a steam room, a gym, and a spa.

For £4.8 million in 2018, Mendy purchased it from cricket legend Andrew Flintoff.
After paying £1.8 million for the house in 2008, Flintoff, who had never lived there, spent two years refurbishing it before renting it out.
Peter Crouch, a former football player, and his spouse Abbey Clancy were among his renters.
When the former Man City player signed a six-year contract in 2017 from Monaco, he was already a multimillionaire.
He signed a contract that guaranteed him a base pay of £100,000 per week plus bonuses of up to £170,000.
However, following his arrest for γƑpe in 2020, he ended himself facing bankruptcy rather than taking home £31.2 million.
After a retrial in July, he was found not guilty of raping a lady.
After three hours of deliberation, the jury unanimously found him not guilty of both charges.
He was pursued for unpaid taxes, nevertheless, and had to shut down his image rights business even though he was free.
After being charged in 2021, the football player suffered a significant financial setback when City withheld his wages the following month.
After that, BENJAMIN Mendy has reportedly launched a multi-million pound lawsuit against Manchester City over unpaid wages.
The defender, 29, has filed a claim with the Employment Tribunal over “unauthorised deductions from wages”.

On September 17, Benjamin Mendy played for FC Lorient against AS Monaco at Stade du Moustoir.
Five days after his acquittal, he is back playing football professionally for FC Lorient of France’s Ligue 1, where he made his debut in September.
However, according to Sky Sports News, Mendy is now requesting a reimbursement of the money he is still entitled until the conclusion of his June contract.
“Nick De Marco KC (instructed by Laffer Abogados (Madrid) is acting for the former Manchester City player Benjamin Mendy in a multi-million-pound claim for unauthorised deductions from wages,” read a statement from attorney Nick De Marco KC, who is representing Mendy.
“After Mr. Mendy was accused with multiple offenses, all of which he was later found not guilty of, Manchester City FC refused to pay him any salaries whatsoever from September 2021 until the conclusion of his contract in June 2023.
The Employment Tribunal will hear the matter.
In August 2021, he made his final Premier League appearance as Man City defeated Tottenham 1-0.
Following his acquittal, Mendy promised to start “rebuilding his life” in a statement provided by his attorney.
