According to Sky Sports, Arsenal are optimistic about pursuing Leroy Sane.
Mikel Arteta is still on the lookout for new additions before the summer transfer window closes, after agreeing a £42m deal for Riccardo Calafiori.
Arteta is reportedly keen to sign a versatile attacker, with Spain’s EURO 2024 star Nico Williams reportedly on Arsenal’s radar.
In addition, Sane is also of interest to the Gunners. Arsenal are “closely monitoring” the winger’s situation at Bayern Munich.
Sane is a target for Arsenal.
Sane, who joined Bayern in a £54.8m deal from Manchester City four years ago, has just one year left on his contract with the Bundesliga club and is yet to agree an extension.
According to Sky Sports, Sane wants to extend his contract with Bayern. In other words, the former Man City star does not want to leave.
However, the source claims that Arsenal “sense an opportunity” to reach a deal to sign Sane this summer, with Bayern at risk of losing the 28-year-old for free in the summer of 2025.
Therefore, the possibility of Sane’s deal to Arsenal happening is not small.
