Real Madrid ended their training with a win over Chelsea. Before that, they lost to AC Milan and Barcelona in a row. Some of the big names, like Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes, came back to fight in this match. They both started.
Both played for 66 minutes before being taken off to make room for Nico Paz and Juanmi Latasa. Vinicius was a big part of the winning goal. Real Madrid got off to a good start and was constantly breaking down Chelsea’s defence when Brahim Diaz set up Lucas Vazquez for a goal. His shot was blocked, but it went into the corner and past Filip Jorgensen.
Then Vinicius slid an angled ball behind the defence. Brahim did a great job of going around Jorgensen and scoring from close range. In the end, he would win the “Man of the Match” award. When Raheem Sterling tried to pass the ball across the six-yard box but failed, Enzo Fernandez did find Noni Madueke five minutes before halftime. This turned the game around for Chelsea.
At halftime, when Andriy Lunin came on, his soft shot into the far corner cut the lead. Early on, he had to make a good save. The goal kept Real Madrid ahead, but after that, there wasn’t much to say about the game, which lost steam as it went on.
Next, Carlo Ancelotti will have to check his team’s health when they get back to Madrid. They have to get ready to play Atalanta in the European Supercup in Poland. It’s likely that Brahim, young defender Joan Martinez, and Castilla player Mario Martin did the most good for themselves on their trip to the US.
