Very bad news for Real Madrid and Los Blancos fans when midfielder Eduardo Camavinga will be forced to announce his absence from the European Super Cup match with Atalanta at the National Stadium in Warsaw (Poland) tomorrow morning.

The French international made the medical team and teammates extremely worried when he had to limp off the field after a collision with Aurelien Tchouameni. This is a familiarization session for the European champions right after they landed in the Polish capital.

At the end of training, Camavinga screamed in pain after a collision with Real and France teammate Tchouameni. Camavinga fell to his left knee, unable to stand up on his own. Immediately, the Real medical team arrived, massaged and gave first aid to Camavinga, asking if he could continue.

The 21-year-old player appeared to be in a lot of pain, said he could not continue and left the field. The video that spread quickly on social networks showed that Camavinga slipped and landed hard when trying to pass teammate Tchouameni and then lightly collided with him.

Fortunately, Camavinga was able to leave the field on his own without the help of the Real medical team. And, a left knee cruciate ligament injury was ruled out after an examination in the locker room. He will have to undergo thorough tests this morning to determine the extent of the injury, as the club’s medical team is still concerned he may have damaged his internal ligaments.

Real beat off fierce competition from MU and PSG to sign Camavinga in 2021 after the young player had excellent performances for Rennes. Since arriving at the Bernabeu, he has won two Champions League titles, two La Liga titles and a FIFA Club World Cup in 145 appearances for the Spanish giants.

Camavinga played 31 matches in La Liga 2023/24 when Los Blancos were crowned La Liga champions for the 36th time, setting a new record in the football village of the land of bullfighting.
