The midfielder for Manchester United, Kobbie Mainoo, has announced his signing with the world’s largest clothing company, Nike.
This is the biggest deal the teenager has ever had in his career. Mainoo has been occupied with other projects after being instrumental in England’s journey to the European Championship final earlier this summer and scoring in United’s FA Cup final victory over Manchester City.
He displayed pictures of himself signing a contract with Nike that said, “Welcome, Kobbie.”
Mainoo also posed in the centre of a pitch with the Nike tick logo and ‘LA’ written underneath as a promotion for this huge deal. He has also been snapped whilst walking around the headquarters.
Mainoo is about to showcase the worldwide titans, even though he doesn’t appear to be wearing Nike clothing in every photo. Conversely, United is presently sponsored by Adidas, a competitor of Nike that makes its uniforms.
Mainoo has already promoted Nike, showing up at a June photo shoot to officially launch the collaboration. At the moment, he declared, “[It’s] a dream come true.” It’s wonderful to sign with them at last. He officially announced the collaboration now.
Mainoo’s agent, United, will be hoping to offer him a new deal. Despite having only agreed to a three-year contract in February as payment for his rapid elevation in the global game and his breakthrough into the starting lineup in December 2023, he has the opportunity to solidify his rise once more.
