GUNNERS’ ELITE: Martin Ødegaard, Bukayo Saka, William Saliba, and Aaron Ramsdale deservedly honored with prestigious awards after Arsenal’s outstanding 2022/23 season

During their annual awards ceremony on Tuesday night, the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) selected four players from Arsenal for the PFA Premier League Team of the Year. Following Arsenal’s incredible 2022–23 campaign, Aaron Ramsdale, William Saliba, Martin Ødegaard, and Bukayo Saka all received the recognition they deserved.

Early on August 21, the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) held a sumptuous awards ceremony at the Manchester Opera House. Consequently, Phil Foden was awarded the best player of the year by the PFA.

It is important to remember, though, that Man City only has four spots in the team of the year, while Arsenal has five appearances from five players, making them the dominant team.

The most impressive performer of the ‘Arsenal team’ must be Martin Odegaard.

The Norwegian midfielder had a hand in 18 goals for the team last season, including 8 goals and 10 assists.

Meanwhile, £105m new signing Declan Rice explained why Arsenal spent such a huge amount of money with his excellent performance on the pitch.

Arsenal’s defense was also honored by experts.

Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba are the most compatible duo in the Premier League. They are maturing with each season.

Experts highly appreciate David Raya, who won the Golden Glove award last season.

Clearly, coach Mikel Arteta has a great squad of players and is ready to challenge Man City for the title this season.

Despite not making the Team of the Year, Cole Palmer was named the PFA Young Player of the Year.

As anticipated, winners Arsenal only had four players on the squad, whereas Manchester City had five. Harry Kane of Tottenham and Kieran Trippier of Newcastle made up the rest of the lineup.

Four players from Arsenal are on the list, demonstrating the calibre of Mikel Arteta’s squad from the previous campaign. A lengthy drought is also ended, and this is the most Arsenal players selected for the squad since three Gunners were selected in the 2010–11 campaign.

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang was the final Arsenal player to be nominated to the elite end-of-year team, serving as a depressing reminder of how awful things were at the club prior to Mikel Arteta taking control. The only other Gunner to be named to the 2019–20 Team of the Year was him. Prior to him, Hector Bellerín was selected for the 2015–16 squad.

In addition to being selected for the Team of the Season, Bukayo Saka was awarded PFA Young Player of the Year. The already well-known English player, who was selected England Men’s Player of the Year in 2021–2022, and thrice awarded Arsenal Player of the Season, is receiving yet another big accolade.

Saka is the sixth player from Arsenal to receive the honour. Tony Adams, Paul Merson, Nicolas Anelka, Cesc Fàbregas, and Jack Wilshere are the other players. They’re not horrible to hang around with.

The four Arsenal award winners will now concentrate on Sunday’s crucial matchup with Manchester United at the Emirates. They will perform shows deserving of the accolades they receive if they have any hope.
