In addition to starting the season for Manchester City in outstanding form—he scored his 10th Premier League hat-trick in the team’s victory over Ipswich Town last weekend—Erling Haaland is also succeeding off the pitch.
Erling Haaland, a striker for Manchester City, is having a great season. He recently spent £2.1 million on private planes.
In just two games this season, the 24-year-old goal machine has already netted four goals for his team. Furthermore, his business accounts now show that he owns two aircraft, since his image rights company York Promotions Ltd invested £2.1 million in the aviation industry.
This week, the company said in a report that was included with its annual financial statements that it had “entered into an agreement to acquire an interest in two aircraft for an amount of £2,155,342.”
It coincides with trademark filings in Oslo that show the Norwegian is planning to introduce his own line of energy drinks and is also interested in the soft drink business.
After a chancer in his native country nipped in front of him and stole the moniker, the eye-catching sensation prevailed in a battle to re-trademark his own identity. Erling wishes to sell the following items, according to documents his solicitors filed with the UK’s Intellectual Property Office: “drinking water; sports drinks; energy drinks; fruit drinks; fruit juice beverages; protein drinks; carbohydrate drinks; protein-enriched sports beverages; energy drinks containing caffeine; energy drinks [not for medical purposes].”
The York Promotions Ltd. accounts also showed that during the year ending in December of last year, he amassed £12 million in assets. It has £7 million in bank accounts, but major brands still owe Haaland £5 million.
Alongside colleague Jack Grealish, Haaland, a Nike legend and the face of men’s Breitling watches, is rumoured to have signed a £2 million contract to serve as a brand ambassador for Dolce & Gabbana.
Along with his father, 51-year-old manager Alfie, who was a Man City player, he heads York Promotions. The father and son team decided to hire their £2 million Piper M600 private jet instead of keeping it, and they have since flown with the same airline as Formula One driver Charles Leclerc. The company was so profitable that an additional £7 million in earnings was postponed by a year.
Listed as a director is also top tax accountant Julia Hoyle, a colleague of the late Haaland agent Mino Raiola.
