Mainoo’s Role in Liverpool’s 3rd Goal: But Man Utd’s System Failure Was the True Culprit

Arne Slot’s first game at Old Trafford ended in a 3-0 victory for Liverpool, leaving Manchester United disappointed with careless passes and subpar finishing.

Luis Diaz’s brace in the first half was obviously Casemiro’s fault because he gave up the ball twice in his own half.

The Brazilian was substituted during the break, so who was at fault for their third goal scored by Mohamed Salah?

Toby Collyer made his debut in Case’s absence; as seen below, Kobbie Mainoo is easily wrestled off the ball.

After Liverpool snatch possession, it’s glaringly evident there’s a gaping hole in midfield. Ideally, Collyer should have been more proactive but by the time he reached his position, Liverpool had already scored.

That’s not to say the young Collyer is to be blamed, not at all.

It might be time to reevaluate Man United’s tactics given that they handed up three goals so cheaply due to an abundance of space in the midfield.

Casemiro chơi tệ nhưng không phải nguyên nhân mấu chốt khiến MU thất bại
