Raheem Sterling is Arsenal’s highest paid player for the 2024–25 campaign. The team’s earnings have been made public.
After losing to Manchester City in the Premier League by a just two points the previous year, the Gunners will be itching to improve upon their performance.
Raheem Sterling is the highest-paid player at Arsenal this season.
The loanee from Chelsea earns £325,000 per weeK.
Throughout the summer transfer window, Mikel Arteta added a number of fresh players to bolster his team.
After spending a combined £70 million, Riccardo Calafiori and Mikel Merino joined, while David Raya decided to make his loan move from Brentford permanent.
Raya’s backup goalie, Neto, replaced Aaron Ramsdale, who was leaving for Southampton.
However, the Premier League was rocked when Sterling was signed on a deadline day loan from Chelsea.
The 29-year-old Sterling was kicked out of first-team practice by new Blues manager Enzo Maresca.
However, Arteta intervened to provide the winger with a way out, bringing him back together with the player he collaborated with at Manchester City.
With his Chelsea contract, Sterling makes an incredible £325,000 a week.
Additionally, he became the highest paid player as soon as he arrived at the Emirates.
But it’s believed that Chelsea is paying the remaining £162,500, or no more than 50%, of Sterling’s salary, with Arsenal picking up the tab.
With £280,000, Sterling surpassed Kai Havertz to take the top spot in earnings.
Gabriel Jesus (£265,000), Declan Rice and captain Martin Odegaard (both £240,000) complete the top five with Thomas Partey on £200,000.
Bukayo Saka earns £195,000 per week, pipping the likes of William Saliba (£190,000), Gabriel Martinelli (£180,000) and Ben White (£150,000).
New defender Calafiori’s deal pockets the Italian £120,000 a week while fellow summer arrival Merino is understood to be on around £90,000, the same as Leandro Trossard and Jurrien Timber.
With a salary of £85,000, Raya is surprisingly among the lowest paid players.
Only Jakud Kiwior (£58,000) and Neto (£50,000) are higher with that amount.
Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah, two academy grads, both left the team in high-profile departures.
Marquinhos, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Nuno Tavares, Karl Hein, Fabio Vieira and Reiss Nelson all left on loan – the latter joining Smith Rowe at Fulham alongside ex-Gunners men Alex Iwobi and Bernd Leno.
Arsenal’s stars are still some way off the Prem’s top earners, with £400,00-a-week Kevin De Bruyne leading the way, ahead of Manchester City team-mate Erling Haaland on £375,000 a week.
