Man United supporters can already take heart from Portugal’s UEFA Nations League match against Croatia: the partnership of Diogo Dalot and Bruno Fernandes is effective, but only for the national team.

Bruno executed an extraordinarily intricate pass that Diogo Dalot easily completed.

Seven minutes in, Dalot scored his first goal after getting into a dangerous area and being discovered by his club captain, who made a wonderful ball.

With a deft touch, the full-back ducked under the Croatian custodian Dominik Livakovic and sent the ball into the back of the net, well beyond his grasp.

Just before halftime, Dalot would turn the ball into his own net, but Portugal ultimately prevailed, so it didn’t really matter.

Man United supporters believe that this kind of goal ought to be looked into because their players frequently outperform their national teams.
