Following the successful openings of Westfield Stratford, Battersea Power Station, and Liverpool ONE earlier in 2023, the Oxford Street location is the most recent in a string of Brand House locations. Nicole Holliday, a TV host and Arsenal supporter, led a Q&A session with Nketiah, a London-born football player, during the store launch event.
They talked about things like what it takes to be a professional athlete in London and what guidance he would provide to other athletes who want to participate. The UA Next Athletes in attendance, many of whom are pursuing their own dreams of playing football in the Premier League one day, found great resonance with this.
“Working with Under Armour, a company that has a history of collaborating with great athletes and who also shares the same challenger mentality as me, is really exciting,” Eddie Nketiah stated. I appreciate what the company is doing to support young players in reaching their full potential through the UA Next London initiative, and I look forward to contributing as a Londoner who has firsthand knowledge with what it takes to succeed in club football.
“I always train like a beast at Arsenal—I’ll never moan and complain,” Eddie Nketiah said in an interview.
According to Under Armour’s Managing Director for EMEA, Kara Trent, Eddie is a driven and industrious young athlete who never stops pushing himself. He is the ideal addition to our expanding group of football athletes and will serve as an excellent role model for the UA Next program as we seek to motivate and interact with young team sports athletes in London.
