Mikel Arteta has inked a new, long-term contract with the team, which we are happy to announce.

Since joining the team in December 2019, Mikel has played a significant role in helping us become once again a dominant force in English and European football and in creating a fresh bond between the group, the club, and our fans.

The club made sure the title chase went to the very end of the season last year, starting with Mikel’s second FA Community Shield victory and ending with a second consecutive runners-up position in the Premier League.

We broke many club records the previous season, including the most Premier League goals scored (91), the most wins (28), and the highest win percentage (67.3%) of any season in our history. After being nominated seven times, Mikel finally won Premier League Manager of the Month in February 2024, marking his seventh career victory in this category.

Along with qualifying for the Champions League for the second time in our seven-year absence, we did it with the third-youngest Premier League team.
