Despite missing numerous important players for the Premier League match, the Gunners prevailed thanks to a spectacular headed goal by Gabriel Magalhaes in the 64th minute.

In the middle of the defence, Magalhaes and William Saliba once again showed their mettle, and Jurrien Timber deserves praise for his strong performance at left back.

For the first time since sustaining a knee injury, the Netherlands international played the entire ninety minutes. He made a great defensive play, especially in the second half.

Timber made five ball recoveries and won four duels. In addition, he earned three clearances and two tackles. Although he was at fault for losing possession, his unwavering work ethic more than made up for it.

The £34 million acquisition posted on Instagram shortly after the 1-0 victory away from home, writing, “Painting North London 𝒓𝒆𝒅 for the first time.”

Ian Wright, the legendary player for Arsenal, remarked immediately that he was “unreal today,” and Bukayo Saka added that he was “soo good.”

This is a screen grab.

At Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Arsenal defeated Spurs to earn a much-needed victory. As a result, they now trail leaders Manchester City by just two points.

The Gunners have a Champions League match on the road against Atalanta on Thursday before they go to the Etihad Stadium to play City on Sunday.

Mikel Arteta’s team will be put to the test severely at the Etihad because of the short turnaround and travel time. Seeing how they perform against the English champions will be interesting to see.

With a strong start to the season, Timber appears to have mastered the starting position at left back.
