Ousmane Dembélé, a standout player for Paris Saint-Germain, is allegedly in talks to join Manchester United next year.

Just over two weeks have passed since the summer transfer window closed, during which time United added five players to the first squad, and the Red Devils are already focussing on new targets.

The Peoples Person recently shared a report from the Manchester Evening News indicating that the club intends to recruit a winger, a midfielder, and a defender in the summer of 2025.

Although it is not unusual for teams to schedule their upcoming transfers far in advance, Fichajes has gone one step further and stated that United has started talks to recruit a new player.

Football Transfers reports that the Premier League’s biggest clubs have begun talks with Dembele’s representation over a potential transfer to Old Trafford in the upcoming season.

The 27-year-old player, who has previously stated that he is open to leaving the Parisians for the Manchester United big boys, is reportedly keen to transfer to the Premier League.

Only in 2023, after the Ligue 1 team activated a €50 million release clause in his Barcelona contract, would Dembele go to the French capital.

In just four Ligue 1 games this season, the French winger has already contributed three goals and three assists. He had a mixed debut season with PSG.

Dembele joining United and perhaps taking Antony’s place—who has turned out to be an awful signing—seems like a good idea.

Nevertheless, given the season we are in, it is advisable to treat the assertion with caution.

Erik ten Hag seems more focused on Amad Diallo’s development for the time being, though, as the player has the potential to claim the right-wing berth after his electrifying displays in the first two games of the current campaign.
