DEFINITELY, MAYBE NOT: Manchester City debut ‘Oasis kit’ but unveiling massively backfires as fans call it ‘worst ever’ and compare it to iconic sweet

An homage to Oasis’s iconic ‘Definitely Maybe’ album may be seen in the kit’s hue.

The new “Oasis kit” for Manchester City has drawn criticism from supporters, who have even likened it to a well-known candy.

On Wednesday night, Pep Guardiola’s team welcomed Inter Milan to the Champions League in its inaugural match.

The players wore their fourth uniform, which is being marketed as “Definitely City,” for the first time during the game.

Noel Gallagher, the guitarist and composer for Oasis and a devoted Man City supporter, co-designed it.

On social media, admirers of the comic haven’t been too fond of its style, though.

The hue was influenced by the tint of Oasis’s “Definitely Maybe” debut album, which is commemorating its 30th anniversary.

Man City’s signature blue trim matches the primary yellowish base.

However, many will be happy that they will only be competing in Europe and not beyond.

One replied, “That City kit may be the worst footy kit I’ve ever laid my eyes on.”

Someone more commented: “That Man City kit is awful, I honestly thought they were wearing bibs over their home kit for a minute.”

A third replied: “Some might say it’s horrible but I’m like, whatever.”

While a fourth compared it to the popular sweet Refreshers, responding: “Looks like a Refresher sweet.”

Former Man City defender Micah Richards wore the shirt on CBS Sports’ coverage of the Champions League.

And he was one of the few that seemed to be enjoying the design.

He said: “Oh my gosh, what a shirt.”

Oasis recently announced they were reuniting after 15 years for a huge tour next summer.
