Two Arsenal stars set a new record for most passes in a Premier League game against Manchester City.

Even though they were down to ten men, Arsenal looked like they were going to win 2-1 at the Etihad and make history.

Erling Haaland scored the first goal nine minutes in, but Riccardo Calafiori tied the game with a stunning left-footed shot.

Gabriel then put Arsenal ahead with a header from a corner kick right before halftime. However, Leandro Trossard was still shown a red card.

The Belgian player got two yellow cards and was sent off, leaving Arsenal with the impossible job of keeping the win.

And it looked like they were going to do that until John Stones scored an equaliser EIGHT minutes into extra time.

Moving Forward Kai Havertz had to help out on defence, and Jurrien Timber had to fill in as a fullback.

And it cost them innovation because neither of them made a single good pass during the game.

A record was broken by a wide player who played 89 minutes or more of a Premier League game without completing a single pass.

Amazingly, it happened twice in the same game. Havertz missed five times, and Timber missed six times.

The points were tied in Manchester, and Gunners manager Mikel Arteta praised his team’s strong defence.

Arteta told him, “It’s not possible.” With 11 people, it’s already very hard, it’s impossible.

“Because we always have to defend with six people in our box.” That’s it.

“That’s crazy! I’m so proud of them.” I was very unhappy that we gave up that goal after standing strong for so long, since we had to play 97 minutes before the 99th.

“But at the same time, I have to be proud of them.”
