Real Madrid’s search for a centre-back next summer will see them compete with Chelsea and Liverpool for Nottingham Forest star Murillo – Their first targets will be Virgil van Djik and Saliba

Barcelona, Chelsea, and Real Madrid will all be trying to sign Nottingham Forest star Murillo as a centre back next summer.

Since Antonio Rugier and David Alaba are both well into their 30s, Real Madrid is looking for a new player to play in the middle of their defence.

As it stands, Carlo Ancelotti’s team only has three natural center-backs after Nacho Fernandez left in the summer. This season, Eder Militao joined the two other players at the Bernabeu.

HITC says that Murillo has become a possibility for next summer.

People have said that the Nottingham Forest defender is a lot like Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk because he stays calm under pressure and is good at tackles and passing the ball. Similarly to the Dutchman, he is also good at moving out of defence, which is how he got the name “Beckenbauer.”

With the 22-year-old player, Forest will make a lot of money. They bought him from Corinthians in 2023 for just €12 million.

His estimated transfer value (ETV) has since gone up to €20.2m, but left-sided centre backs are in high demand, and Chelsea, Liverpool, and Real Madrid are all interested in signing him, so any deal would probably have to be for a lot more money.

Virgil van Dijk, William Saliba, Real Madrid

Saliba’s message to Arsenal gets through.

Arsenal’s message about William Saliba seems to have been heard loud and clear at the Bernabeu. This is great news for them. The 23-year-old French player is still Real Madrid’s top choice for the job.

An exclusive report from FootballTransfers says that the Gunners have told Ancelotti’s team that they will not sell Saliba for any price.

It is worth €73.3 million to sign Saliba, and FootballTransfers’ system thinks he is the best and most valuable defender in the world right now.

Real Madrid is also said to be interested in Tottenham’s Cristian Romero and Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite, both centre backs.
