WINGS OF GOD: Real Madrid tracking 21-year-old RB Leipzig talent after standout performance against Atletico Madrid

According to Jose Felix Diaz of MARC, Real Madrid has started to keep an eye on Castello Lukeba, a young defender for RB Leipzig. This is part of their ongoing search for future defensive stars.

The club has turned its attention to other possible targets to improve its defence for the future after missing out on Leny Yoro.

Lukeba, a 21-year-old centre back who has been making waves in the Bundesliga since moving from Lyon to RB Leipzig in 2023, is one of the names that are being looked at right now.

People have been interested in the French defence for a while now. Several reports say that Real Madrid scouts have been closely watching his play for a few weeks, especially in important games like the one between RB Leipzig and Atletico Madrid.

The scouts were able to see how good he was in more difficult situations during this match.

Lukeba is very important for Leipzig.

Lukeba paid €34.6 million to join Leipzig. His value has, however, gone up a lot; Transfermarkt now says he’s worth €40 million.

His ability as a left-footed central defender has made him a key player in Marco Rose’s lineup, and he has held a starting position in most of Leipzig’s matches since his arrival.

Real Madrid’s strategy in the transfer market remains clear: they are looking to secure young, promising talent to build a solid foundation for the future. Lukeba is just one of the many names on their radar.

Another emerging prospect is Victor Reis from Palmeiras, also being considered by the Madrid scouts.

Madrid are also monitoring youth team players

In addition to seeking external talent, Real Madrid are also paying attention to their youth players. Joan Martinez, despite his long-term injury, is one of the key figures expected to make a comeback with a new contract.

Other players, such as Jacobo Ramon and Raul Asencio, are also being monitored from the Valdebebas academy as potential future options for the first team.

Real Madrid’s recruitment process is carefully selecting young talents with the right potential, and Lukeba could very well be the next piece in their defensive puzzle.
