World Cup 2022: Rudiger uses World Cup money to pay for 11 treatments for kids in Sierra Leone. To make people’s lives better in this small West African country, Marca Rudiger went to Sierra Leone, where his mother was born, to start a new organisation.
Rudiger was born in Berlin, lives in England now, and plays for the German national team, but his family is from Sierra Leone. They lived in Europe and raised their children there before moving back to the United States. That’s where his mother was born. He wants to use his fame and money to make the world a better place. He told us, “It was a great trip,” when he got back to Cobham. I’ve been to the country twice already. There was a little more stress this time because I had to start the fund and meet with the president soon.
Because it’s so important to me, I’ve had this idea for a while now. I began making plans as soon as I learnt that we would be taking a week off. I had to go back to Sierra Leone because it had been a long time since I saw my mother and my parents had come back here four years before.
Rudiger’s charity group wants to make sports, facilities, and education better for everyone. They also want to increase the number of people in the country who can read and write. has eight million people living in it. The World Bank, an international development organization, says that the country’s poverty rate is still 43%, even though it has gone up a lot in the last ten years.
GHANAsoccernet has the latest football news, scores, and results from Ghana. As part of his World Cup bonus, German defender Antonio Rudiger paid for treatment for eleven kids in Sierra Leone. “You are not putting on a show by yourself.” Some people and groups would like to work with me so that we can all make the future better for young people.
In the beginning of 2020, he gave more than $100,000 to the Free Quality Education project in Sierra Leone. More than two million kids in elementary and high school will benefit from this. Eleven kids with foot problems just finished programs that will change their lives because he paid for them. The 28-year-old also saw the Sierra Leone Amputee football team while on the trip.
As the Africa Cup of Nations comes to an end, more attention is being paid to sports in Africa. Most recently, Edouard Mendy’s Senegal made sure they would be in the Sunday final. Sierra Leone is taking part in the game for the first time since 1996. They still wanted to show the world how strong and great they are, even though they were out before the round of 16.
He also said, “The boys should be praised a lot because they worked very hard to make it for the first time in 25 years.” Sierra Leone is only known for the Ebola virus or its civil war. This gives people a unique view of the country. Given that most of what they said was bad, it was nice to see us in a different light.
Sincerely grateful and proud, because, as you might guess, getting thanks from the president is one of the best things that can happen to you. I didn’t think my welcome would be so nice.
