Nike teamed up with football star Kylian Mbappé and his Inspired By Kylian Mbappé charity to give thousands of young athletes in Paris a day of sports. This was the first in a series of events meant to inspire young people to do their best in sports.
Over 2,000 teens got together on May 5 in front of the famous Nike House of Innovation on the Champs Elysées to do running, breakdancing, tennis, football, and basketball tasks with their role model.
Kylian, a Nike ambassador, says, “A year ago, I wanted to put together a sports challenge with 2,024 young people on the world’s most beautiful avenue.” “Thanks to Nike, whose values and goals we share, we’re happy to say that we’ve done it. Our goal was to encourage young people to do their best in sports.”
The event is the start of Nike’s “Victory Mode” tour, which gives young people in Île-de-France the chance to try new sports and take on challenging events that inspire them.
On May 18, the next stop will be in Nanterre to celebrate Victor Wembanyama’s successful return to France as a basketball player. Before the big show at the Centre Pompidou on August 11, there will be five more nights in the Paris area in June and July.
“Like all of these young people, I’ve been inspired by great sport,” Kylian says. “They inspired me to do my best and reach my goals.” That’s the mode where you win. I’m proud to teach these principles to the next generation today.
Everyone is welcome at Victory Mode events, which are put together with the help of Golden Blocks, Nike’s long-time partner in France. The Nike Paris app and Nike.com can both be used to sign up.
