Girona lost 3-2 to Feyenoord at home in the Champions League. Donny van de Beek scored with a calm finish from close range.

First, David Lopez put Girona ahead. Then, Yangel Herrera scored an own goal, which tied the game.

Meanwhile, Antoni Milambo gave the Dutch the lead before Van de Beek tied the game, but it wouldn’t last.

Feyenoord then went ahead 3-2 thanks to another own goal, this time by Ladislav Krejci. The Dutch team won all three games.

As of 2020, Van de Beek had joined United from Ajax, but it was hard for him to get regular playing time.

During his time at United, he only made six Premier League starts and was often hurt, so he never really lived up to the expectations that were raised by his play for Ajax. 

In the second half of last season, Van de Beek played on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt. This summer, he left United for good. 

The last goal Van de Beek scored was in May 2022, while he was on loan at Everton and the team lost 5–1.
