At least, that’s what ABC’s Cardinal Deportivo says. The 17-year-old player is claimed to be “very close to Arsenal.”

In July, the left back was moved up to the Paraguayan team’s first team. Ever since, he’s been a regular, playing in 11 games and putting in 938 minutes of work while getting two goals.

European teams are interested in him because of how well he plays for his club. The only team named is Arsenal, and the story says they have made moves to close a deal.

They make it clear that this is their own information from Cardinal Deportivo. They say that Mikel Arteta’s team is “very close” to hiring the Paraguayan. It is also said that the operation is “very advanced” and that all that is needed for the deal to go through is one name.

Arsenal wants to make a deal with Club Cerro Porteño so that León can stay with them until April 2025, when he turns 18.

Versus, a newspaper in Paraguay, reported on what Club Cerro Porteño vice-president Juan Carlos Pettengill had to say. He says that so far, no offer has been made for León. The official also talked about what the South American club has planned for the teenager.

“He has five more years left on his contract with Cerro; he is one of the club’s last real gems.” “Many people are interested in him because of his age, his game, and his physical strength,” he said.
