Arsenal came from behind to secure all three points against Southampton in the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Alan Shearer has showered praise for Havertz, saying he was “incredible”, while speaking on the Rest Is Football podcast alongside Gary Lineker and Micah Richards.
The popular football pundit says that he has been really impressed by Havertz’s overall involvement. The German forward has been in outstanding form for Arsenal and has scored in seven consecutive home games, a feat previously achieved by Robin van Persie in 2012.

Shearer previously claimed that Havertz is thriving in the number nine role for the Gunners. The 25-year-old scored 13 goals last season in the Premier League and provided seven assists.
This season, he has started the 2024-25 campaign strongly, scoring four goals and providing an assist in the Premier League.
Shearer said: “I think he is really impressing me in terms of his performances overall. Incredible (scoring in every goal at home).
“He’s been a real centre-forward, not just his goals, but his hold up play, what he is doing for the team, bringing players into the game, challenging for balls in the air when he knows he perhaps might not win them. I’ve been really really impressed with him.”
