CLOCK STARTS: Ecstatic Arsenal fans say ‘my captain is BACK’ as Martin Odegaard shares training video after injury

When MARTIN ODEGAARD posted a video of himself working out while he continues to heal from an injury, it made Arsenal fans dream.

The leader of Arsenal, who is 25 years old, hasn’t played since last month, when he hurt his ankle while on international duty.

He hasn’t played since then in games against Tottenham, Manchester City, Leicester, and Southampton. He has also missed games in the Champions League against Atalanta and Paris Saint-Germain.

Odegaard has been working out at the gym while some of his teammates are away playing for their countries.

The Norwegian wrote a new Instagram post with a video of himself running on a machine.

He also uploaded more pictures of himself working out at the gym to get stronger.

A graph, an egg timer, and the word “soon” were all in the description of his post.

Odegaard’s post got a lot of likes very quickly.

Several fans rushed to add their thoughts.

Someone wrote, “We need you, captain!”

While someone else gushed, “My captain is back!”

A third swooned and said, “The Premier League isn’t ready for Martin Odegaard to take over.”

Someone else said, “Can’t wait to see you back on the pitch.”

Two weeks ago, Odegaard finally talked about what kind of hurt he had.

“It was a bad twist to my ankle and I hurt some ligaments there, but that’s football, and now I’m just trying to get better as quickly as I can,” he told Arsenal’s press.

“Every day I feel better and more hopeful, I go forward and make progress.”

“All I can think about right now is getting back as soon as I can.”

“I work hard and do everything I can to get better at the Sobha Realty Training Center almost every day now.”

“UNFORTUNATE”

But I also need to make sure I don’t push it too far and do everything I can to get back as strong and quickly as possible.

“If I can’t be on the field, I’m trying to help the team in other ways now.” What’s going on with me? I have to make the best of it.

“I’m not used to it.” This is football, and I have to get on with it. If that’s the right word, I’ve been lucky or done well to avoid injuries in the past.

I believe it was bad that I got hurt the way I did, but it could have been worse.

“That turn wasn’t nice, and I thought it might get weird when it happened.”

“I’ve injured my ankle before and the pain felt a bit different this time.”

After the international break, Arsenal will play again when they go to Bournemouth.
