Though he has already surpassed his new age group, the teen sensation celebrated his 14th birthday over the weekend.
Because of his talent, Gabriel has been promoted to practice with Manchester United’s Under-18 team.
He played regularly for the Red Devils’ Under-16 team last season at the age of 13.
In 45 minutes versus Newcastle, JJ Gabriel, who is not even 14 years old, scored a hat-trick and contributed an assist for the U16s.
Additionally, he scored two goals and assisted on another two during a preseason competition in Hong Kong in the summer, earning him the title of Most Valuable Player.
After touring Barcelona’s stadium, Man United youth youngster JJ Gabriel visited Lamine Yamal yesterday.
Dimitar Berbatov, a hero for United, gave him his award.
According to The Mail, “Kid Messi’s” brilliance has “blown away” “coaches.”
Although he won’t play for the Under-18s, working out with more experienced players should “help him develop and give him a new challenge.”
