Bukayo Saka is sidelined for England’s Nations League match against Finland due to an injury.
What followed as a result? The Three Lions have announced that Saka has been left off of the traveling roster for the trip to Helsinki. The winger will return to Arsenal’s starting lineup to recover from the hamstring injury he suffered during the team’s 2-1 loss to Greece earlier this week. It was also reported that Liverpool’s Curtis Jones has stayed in England due to a personal obligation.
ENGLAND’S MENTION
The official website of the England men’s squad released the following statement: “Curtis Jones and Bukayo Saka will not be visiting Finland. Saka was replaced in the second half of Thursday night’s game against Greece, and he has now returned to Arsenal for more evaluation.
Jones of Liverpool is still in England because of a personal obligation. Now, a 22-man team will take a Saturday afternoon flight to Helsinki in preparation for tomorrow’s UEFA Nations League match.”
